HALLICRAFTERS SX-96 RECEIVER!! Radio is tested and in working condition. I was listening to many broadcast and shortwave stations while I was checking out the radio. Cosmetically speaking the front panel is very nice, just a few marks. The underside of the chassis looks VERY good. Top of the chassis is dirty and there is some spotting, but the metal itself is solid. Cabinet is in about average condition for a fifty year old radio. Almost all of the original (and problematic) Black Beauty Capacitors have been replaced. Meter works, all of the controls work, radio has lots of character and is fun for band cruising! Not to say it couldn't use some more restoration, but with this one, you are starting with a working rig.
