The Glidermatic GIND - 7 opener is the first operator of its kind especially designed for continuous sheet curtain doors. This uniquely engineered unit will provide you with an economic, dependable, high quality operator. The drive unit remains the only operator available with orbiting drive motors fully housed within the coil of the door. Inherent to the unit is a unique manual release system which when disengaged allows the orbital motor to freewheel. By attatching an optional release cable, the door user can disengage the drive motors from ground level. The operator is easily slid into position at the drive end of the door. The only other work involved is in attatching the wall mounted control box and setting of the limit switches. Requiring only minimal side room, the GIND - 7 enables automatic operation in most tight situations. Installation of the door with Drive Unit requires only an additional 3 inches of side room to that of a manual push-up door. Power supply required to the wall mounted Control Box is standard 120VAC. All control circuits and wiring to the Drive Unit accommodates one or two 1/3 HP DC motor(s), according to door size. The Control Box features three buttons for the UP, Down and Stop functions providing convenient, safe and secure operation of the door. * The Glidermatic GIND - 7 has been tested by the Underwriters Laboratory, and has been throughly evaluated and successfully marketed worldwide. * The Glidermatin - GIND 7 operator's quality and dependability has been proeven with over twenty years of service in actual field use. * Drive Unit 1/3 HP DC Motor(s) are fixed to a steel adaptor plate and have special gear heads that project intoand mesh with the main planetary gear housing which remains stationary for motor operation. * The Control Box is a fully insulated enclosure that contains the logic circuitry which includes overload protection. A three station push button with UP-DOWN-STOP is furnished in the control box as standard. * The emergency chain hoist is molded as part of the main planetary gear housing. In case of power failure, a simple lever action withdraws a plunger from the main planetary gear which then makes it connnect directly to the coil of the door, which can now be operated by the chain hoist. * A cut-out switch automatically deactivates all power to the motor(s) while the lever is set to chain hoist operation. * Minimal field installation is required for the control box and push button station, which is wall mounted in close proximity to the door.
