This item is a used Kenwood dual band 2m / 70cm handheld transceiver, model TH-G71A. Just hold this HT in your hand and you can feel the well-engineered, ergonomic design. The illuminated keys, backlit display, robust case - rain, shock and dust resistant - make it well suited for 24/7 utilization. Its 200 memory channels with alphanumeric display are PC programmable. Incorporates CTCSS tone scan, wide-range reception coverage, DTMF memory (10 channel up to 16 digits) and multiple scan modes. Rated at 6W VHF and 5.5W UHF at 13.8volts. This item includes a flex-type dual band antenna, a Kenwood PB-39 NiCd battery (9.6v, 700mAh), wall charger (rated 250ma @ 12 volts), aftermarket mobile power cord, belt clip and instruction manual. This rig in excellent, visual and operational condition. The case, glass and key top are in excellent condition. The battery holds a charge very well. Note this HT allows switching between FM and AM RX modes in the 118 - 136.000 MHz range, and has been modified to allow operation on the MARS/CAP TX frequencies as well as extended RX capability.
