This "MATRIX INTERPRETER" speaks ENGLISH, FRENCH, ITALIAN, GERMAN, & SPANISH. You enter the words in any of the languages and if the word is in the machines vocabulary, it translates the word to any of the 5 languages at a touch of a button. The tranlation appears both on the screen and synthesized voice in the loudspeaker or supplied ear phone. The translator also has a programmed vocabulary of phrases, which on the entry of a word in any of the 5 languages, will provide a choice of often used phrases concerning that word. For example, if the word "price" is entered, the interpreter will give you a selection of 10 sentences, such as, "How much is the price?", etc. Another feature is the "teach" mode, where the unit will speak random words to you, in the selected language, for you to learn. Operates on 4 AAA batteries or plug in power supply (not included). Comes wth a sturdy hard travel case. This unit is being offered at a fraction of my original cost.
