What makes this SKULLSHELL helmet an ORIGINAL WORK of ART and NOT another sticker welding helmet that is MASS PRODUCED is a long process! First we sand the entire outside of the helmet, then tape and mask off the inside of the helmet and primer it. We then sand the helmet again followed by cleaning off any dust with wax and grease remover. The main base coat of usually House of Kolor or PPG paint is then applied and allowed to dry before masking the areas to be airbrushed. The helmet is then clear coated for a more durable finish and allowed to dry. After all this, the helmet is then sometimes even sanded & buffed one more time and for a truly stunning appearance! There is over $60 in materials required to produce each new helmet we order. (On top of the helmet and lens costs and a great deal of our time.)
