It features a safety thermostat and an analogical thermostat. It can work at two different power levels (350 W & 700 W), so a single module can cater to bathrooms of different sizes and characteristics. This beautiful unit brings design and technology together. The patented heat accumulation device called CLIMASTAR COMPACTTO TAD (compact granite high density thermominerals, HDT) acheives the most energy efficient levels in the market. In regular conditions, Climastar heating systems consume 75% less energy than any other electrical heater in the world. One hour of energy consumption generates approximately four hours of heat. Climastar products are UL certified. A metal plate with the UL logo and equipment serial number is attached to all products. The heating surface is called COMPACTTO. It is made from a special mix of natural granite and then baked at over 2000*F (1200*C). This is the only patented system in the world that uses this special type of material as a heat accumulator. The White Slate and Black Slate are textured finishes. The Sienna Brown is a very polished finish. The other colors have more of a flat or matte finish to them. Cool air goes in through the bottom of the unit and warm air blows out through the top of the unit. There are no fans in the unit, it is convection, so there is no noise associated with it. The granite surface heats up, accumulates the heat and then it radiates from the surface.
