TURNER M+3 AMPLIFIED HAND HELD MIKE - NEW, UNUSED!
"The Collector's Estate" Presents:
The incomparable Turner M+3 mobile microphone- not in excellent condition, not "like new", but BRAND NEW - never sold retail, and unboxed for the first time in 30+ years for these photos, taken yesterday!
The +3 and its variants like the Road King 60 and 70 series are, without exaggeration, the finest mobile mikes ever made. Turner was an American company with a reputation for innovative and high-quality communications microphones. The unique styling, and comfortable "hand feel" of the +3 mike is just part of the reason we claim this mike to be the best ever. The other reasons are inside.
The mike has a built-in preamplifier, with an adjustable slide control on the rear. However, simple amplification is just the beginning. The mike actually has Speech Compresion- a "smart" amp that boosts only those sound frequencies used for speech- making your transmitter concentrate its power purely on your voice, boosting readability and effective range. Sound quality is superb with these mikes!
The mike also has the patented "Modu-Gard"; this feature compensates for the varying distance between your mouth and the mike, so when driving with the mike moving around, your voice's volume doesn't change nearly as much. Truly the ultimate mobile mike, the +3 was the most expensive in its day. In fact, you can see the original price of $49.95, which is about $100 in today's dollars.
For collectors, the obvious rarity of a new in the box +3 Turner makes this mike a compelling addition; for serious mobile operators, or those wanting the very best, this is the only choice.
