“SAMPLE” will not appear on the print you purchase ... it is only on the scanned image.
This is an Original Print, meaning that this is the actual page carefully removed from a vintage Collectors Series Antique Equipment Calendar, not a cheap copy. It has a calendar month printed on the reverse side. The print has a broad white border around all 4 sides of the print, with text printed below the image.
The documentation at the bottom of this print reads: “Pride of the Calumet Crane Service, this early Universal crane is mounted on an innovative Hendrickson truck. This factory photo shows the tandem drive, heavy frame, and outriggers.” Apparently Calumet Crane Service was owned by H. B. Olney, General Contractor. Universal cranes were one of the early pioneers of mounting cranes on trucks for mobility. Magnus Hendrickson was an inventive Swiss engineer, starting his own company in Chicago in 1913, and with his sons designed a tandem suspension unit in 1926 using the now famous equalizing beam with center pivot to distribute the load evenly to the rear axles.
Quality of this calendar print is mint, like new, printed on excellent quality paper.
