The unit is housed in an aluminum enclosure with an outlet on one side and a detachable line cord on the other. It is set up for 0 to 120VAC. The carbon wiper and winding contacts are in great condition with no signs of shorts or overloading. This unit has served me well for powering up antique radios during repair (along with an external ammeter\wattmeter\voltmeter). I used it until recently, when I purchased a fully metered variac. It is a great size for bench use and is a must for initial power up of vintage electronics and electrical equipment. (please look at our rules and privacy policy) |
