Linotype-Hell Quasar imagesetter with Postscript level 2 DELTA Rip 1998 Vintage. The Quasar is an in-drum imagesetter used to expose digital files to pancromatic roll photographic film and RC photo paper using a 670 nm red laser diode. The max. film size is 20.7 x 19.9 inches. The device can be configured to use roll widths from 11 inches to 20.9 inches. Imagesetter resoulation can be set from 1270 dpi to 3387 dpi. We routinely printed calibrated halftones with screen ranges from 85 dpi to 150 dpi for prepress applications and silkscreen masters. Emulsion oreintation and image polarity may be specified. The Quasar being a in-drum based imagesetter offers excellent cmyk film regristration. Files can be sent from a Pc or Mac Dimensions: Width 47.2 " Height 43.3" Depth 29.5" Weight is aprox. 600 lbs the imagesetter is mounted on castors.
