Since 1955 City-Gates has designed and fabricated commercial coiling doors. We are offering our perforated slat for sale. The perforated slat is constructed from 22 gauge galvanized steel that are perforated to allow light and air to pass. The slats are approx. 2.50 inches high and are roll formed wtih interlocks. The slats are attached by sliding them together. The perforated slats are specifically designed for high wind areas. When a strong storm wind blows on solid rolling steel doors the curtain acts like a sail. The positive and negative wind loads cause the solid slats to blow out of their guides. The result is a broken door and an unsecured area. The City-Gates perforated slat allows light and air to pass through the curtain effortlessly. The perforated door will not blow out because there is no resistance when storm winds blow. City-Gates can provide you with a complete new perforated curtain to replace your existing solid or grille curtain. We can also design and fabricate complete new doors to replace your existing doors. The slats are sold by the linear foot and are custom rolled to your width up to 35 feet.
