Up for grabs here, is my Key KM-450, converted to the 70cm Amateur Band
Channel Listing is as follows:
All channels that are RB numbered have the standard +1.6MHz repeater shift programmed.
Take a look at this website: www.superiorsignals.co.uk for info of how channel numbers can be increased, and how reverse repeater shift etc can be added, along with circuit diagrams of 1750Hz tone board, and a whole host of other useful info.
The CTCSS board fitted, allows only single tone operation, but the tone frequency can be changed to what you require, by altering the position of a series of DIP switches on the board (details of how to set is on the above website. The board is currently set for operation on 94.8Hz). CTCSS squelch is also available on RX, but there is a monitor switch on the back of the microphone, should you wish to have no CTCSS squelch, and TX CTCSS
The radio performs very well, and is exceptionally sensitive (a hallmark of these radios). TX power is showing as 30w, but this can be turned down to a level of your choice, however, if you adjust the TX power, then you will need to readjust the VSWR protection circuit. Details of how to do this are on the website mentioned earlier.
Supplied with Microphone & vehicle mounting bracket
It is currently set up for a 12.5KHz repeater, so the TX audio may be a little on the quiet side. The mic gain can be adjusted by altering FVR4 on the main board
These radios use the now discontinued 2732 EPROM to store channel info. I will include a spare, that you can either blank and re-program yourself, or that can be used as an "exchange" chip, for somebody else to program for you. Atlanta Communications, (www.atlantacomms.co.uk) can supply custom chips for £13 including postage, or Tom who runs the suerior signals website, will program your own chip for less
