One of the boxes...the one without the extra hardware (also labeled as LH)...has "bad" in felt tip on the back side. We don't know why "bad" is written on the box...the lock appears to work...but since this was used on a commercial construction job, it could simply have been something minor...we just don't know. A magnet does not stick to the lock casing...it does not stick to the catch...it does stick to the third leg in the latch and the backing plate for the brass wear on the front. The locks appear to be in their original boxes...there is no paperwork with any of these locks, but there is extra hardware in two of the boxes. The box that had "bad" written on it did not have any extra hardware. There are brass face plates, as seen in the photo, for all three. They are dusty...they've been in the shop for a long time. As you can see in the pictures, they are not encased in plastic...two of these locks are new and have never been used...the other lock we don't know...it may have been installed and immediately removed...these locks were left over from a previous construction job.
