YOu can turn balls and other convex shapes (see pics below) up to 2 3/4" in diameter, each precisely spherical . The tool can also be used for straight turning. It is sized for a 10" lathe but can be made ot fit larger or smaller lathes. You likely have all the materials in your scrap bin.
