If you're looking for really HUGE Coturnix Quail...This is it! Mature weight is over 1 pound at approx 8 weeks old. These have done really great for so many people, that they're now selling 'Jumbo' hatching eggs on here using their own pet names. These are VERY easy to work with and are great for the novice or experienced hatcher alike! This is enough to get a decent start of these BIG GIANTS. The birds you see in the photo are 8 weeks old. The standard brown coturnix on the right is like a dwarf in comparison to the MONSTER on the left. The second photo is of a 5 week old female...That's Right...5 Weeks Old!!! During the growing period, we feed our young Quail a 28% protien, turkey grower and also supplement with a vitamin/electrolyte solution in their drinking water. We also provide 24 hour lighting during this period...this seems to give the fastest results. Incubation time is 17 days at 99.5 degrees in a forced air incubator, or 101.0 degrees in a still air unit. These type of quail will fully mature at 8 weeks old, and usually start laying their own eggs around six weeks of age....OUTSTANDING!!! Due to the fragile and time sensitive nature of the item, ALL Egg Sales are Final! No refund or free replacements will be given for any damaged or unhatched eggs! We do our best to provide you with the freshest hatching eggs possible... pack them extremely well and send them in a reasonable and timely fashion. We have received emails claiming nearly 100% success, and we have received emails claiming 0% success, as well as countless more claiming success somewhere in the middle. This goes with the territory and shows that each time is variable and unique to it’s own set of circumstances. This is exactly why there is no guarantee on outcome! Please allow your eggs to rest at room temperature at least 8 hours before placing them into your incubator. Eggs can suffer ‘temperature shock’ if taken from a cool place and put directly into an incubator. Read your incubator instruction manual….if you don’t have a copy, then you can most likely find a free download from the manufacturers web site. If you are new at incubating, {or even experienced}…I would strongly recommend that you take the time to read as much as possible beforehand. Regardless of your experience level, there is always something new/useful to be found, and with the endless array of informational web sites that are available today, there’s simply no reason to be left in the dark.
