This manual covers the in-line and V-type 3-53, 4-53, 6V-53, and 8V-53 engines - also commonly referred to or known as the 353 (3 cylinder), 453 (4 cylinder), 653 (6 cylinder), and 853 (8 cylinder), although the basic maintenance and overhaul procedures are common to all Series 53 engines and therefore apply to all engine models.
