You can set the DVS-2 to record two 8-second or four 4-second outgoing messages such as a CQ or report or other repetitive information. It's especially handy for use in contests and DXing to save your voice. Recording couldn't be easier. Just press the MEMO button, then a memory number, and speak into your regular transceiver microphone (without triggering PTT or VOX). Press STOP when you're finished recording. To send the message on the air, just press the message number button. The DVS-2 also records receiver audio. Press the REC button and it stores the last 16 seconds of whatever you are hearing in the receiver. Play it back with a press of the MONI switch. I bought this DVS-2 new several years ago and used it for a couple of contests. It's in excellent condition and comes with the original box, packing material and instruction sheet.
