These windshields are made to European Specifications (5mm Thick vs standard 4mm). These windshields are normally used in Hitachi machines sold in Europe and due to the increased thickness are more resistant to breakage. This product meets all of the U.S. DOT requirements for cab glass. We recommend that when installing this glass you replace the rubber seal or molding with new.
