CLEANING OUT THE GARAGE OF SOME VINTAGE ITEMS. E-BAY IS NOT MY PRIMARY MEANS OF WORK,I WORK LATE AT MY OTHER BUSINESS MOST TIMES AND CANNOT RESPOND AS QUICKLY AS ONE WOULD LIKE,SO BE PATIENT WHEN ASKING A ?. DUE TO TRYING TO KEEP COSTS DOWN, I WILL NOT POST NUMEROUS PICS OF ITEMS. IF INTERESTED ADDITIONAL PICS WILL BE E-MAILED UPON REQUEST,WILL NEED E-MAIL ADDRESS. This is an old chain falls (hoist) made by YALE & TOWNE MFG CO can't make out the year but she's old,circa probably around 20-30's. If I'm wrong please correct me. I was going to use this in my garage but had a change of plans and don't need it anymore. This has been totally taken apart,cleaned,primered and painted black and put back together. This is in better than new condition now. I guarantee you that you will not find one like this nowadays. It's all Chinese or foreign junk. This was made back when MADE IN AMERICA meant something,was built with quality forged metal components,not stamped sheet steel,and was built overly strong. It's rated at 2 ton but I'm sure it can handle way more (you be the judge though). You can just picture this hanging in the ROUNDHOUSE or MECHANICS SHED where the old steam locomotives would be,waiting to be used. Differential pulley is 13" in dia. and is a double one,it is 6" thick has a swivel hook. The lfting pulley is a single one is 10 " in dia. and 4 1/2" thick with a swivel hook. The both hooks are the same dimension of 1 3/4" throat spread by 4" deep from the tip to the bottom sadle. This is heavy. Has a bunch of chain on it didn't measure it though a good guess is around 20-30 feet. Be sure to add me to your favorites list! (please look at our rules and privacy policy) |
