This is a unique piece of equipment. Originally built by another company to install silt fence. We acquired it a few mouths back and rebuilt the machine top to bottom while modifying it to do more tasks. The result is a machine that can cut to a depth of 12â€and put a variety of products into the ground faster than a trencher can. While it can not do everything a vibratory plow can this machine can do a lot at a cost less than a vibratory plow. Great for a start up company or one that wants to expand its capabilities. All the photos of the machine where taken with it standing alone on its two removable front legs. The machine is designed to mount to any three-point hookup. (It can be modified to be used with a skid steer) When using this machine for silt fence installation the wheel assembly is mounted to the rear of the cutting blade and the fabric stabilizer is mounted just above. The machine cuts a narrow slit in the ground allowing for easy and fast silt fence installation. It installs the silt fence fabric directly into the ground behind the cutting blade almost as fast as one can drive the tractor. Of course soil conditions do play a roll as with any machine. With this method the fabric is firmly put in place. With less soil being disturbed this makes the whole process faster and more secure than the trenching method. Thou not a vibratory plow this machine has been modified to install small and large cable. For small cable place the sleeve on the back of the cutting blade and place the cable real on the real holder on top of machine. Simply feed the small cable or wire thru the guide and into the top of the sleeve and down till it comes out at the base. As the blade cuts a narrow slit in the ground and will feed the cable out behind the blade. For large cable place the U bolt in place just behind the cutting blade. From this point a Chinese finger lock (not supplied) can be attached allowing the machine to pull the cable directly into the ground like a vibratory plow process. This machine can also be used to install either poly or PVC irrigation pipe. Using the U bolt attach a pipe pulling bullet (not supplied) and pull the pipe directly into the ground faster than trenching. (please look at our rules and privacy policy) |
