We have had babies that occasionally do not make it out of the shell, but this is just something that happens. Thus comes the saying -Don't Count Your Chicks Before They Hatch. We wrap each egg individually and take great care to see that they are protected very well for the trip. You will see that the box has been labeled Fragile, Hatching Eggs and also has been marked so that the package can be kept in its proper position. It has arrows marking the Top of the Box so that they eggs are not sent lying on their sides or with the small ends up. Eggs are packaged with the large end up. This is very important and is one way that the eggs embryos are kept in better position and the air sacs will not be shifted. When your eggs arrive please be sure to let them sit at room temperature for at least 8 - 12 hrs before placing in the incubator. This will give the eggs a chance to warm up to room temp (about 70 degrees) and let the air sacs have time to reposition themselves, if needed, after their trip thru the mail. If our birds would stop laying for some reason or other and we cannot provide you with eggs we will refund all monies back to you. We do not package in bubble wrap as we feel that the eggs would not be able to "breathe". Bubble wrap works for many but we prefer foam, plus the eggs can absorb more without being damaged in the mail system. (please look at our rules and privacy policy) |
