Wired Cameras vs Wireless Cameras?
We have tried many different wireless cameras over the years, and have not found one yet that is reliable enough for us to sell.
Wireless Cameras usually only work over a very short distance (usually less than 300 feet "line of sight") and with NO Obstructions - like trees or buildings etc.
Our Wired Barn Camera does not have "line of sight" limitations and is also not affected by interference from electrical appliances, cordless phones, bad weather, obstacles such as trees, buildings, metal, brick or stucco siding.
If your barn or out building doesn't have power, you can also use a 12 volt car battery to power the camera.
Run the 500' cable to your house, along a fence, building, driveway, power poles or bury it.
Note: Some people just lay the cable out to the barn before calving/foaling season, and then roll it back up for the next season.
It's very easy, fast and simple to setup. You are now ready to watch your animals in the barn, from the comfort of your house. No more disturbing your animals in the middle of the night, and it makes your life easier too!
We also have 1,000 foot lengths of cable available, for only $60 U.S. extra.
Let me know if you need 1,000 feet, instead of the normal 500 feet.
After calving season, use it as an outside surveillance security camera to watch fuel tanks, tractors, rv's, shops or equipment etc.
You can also use this camera to watch your horses or cattle in your livestock trailer, as you are travelling down the road. Just add any small TV in the cab of your truck.
We also carry Rear View Camera Systems & Color Monitors.
The camera is 12 volts, so it is easy to hook into your truck's tailights or the cigarette lighter etc. A smaller piece of RCA video cable can be used, or you can use the 500 ft cable rolled up on its spool.
Please Note: The roll of 500' cable will always be on a spool so you can put a broom handle through it for easy unrolling (or rolling up), but it may not be exactly the same as the reel in the picture. The camera could also be silver or gold in color, but will still be the same camera.
We have been selling Barn Cameras for many years, so we know what works, and what doesn't.
