Here is a nicely done homebrew antenna tuner. It looks to be well thought out and constructed. It features a Roller-Inductor and 2 Variable Capacitors. One of the capacitors is of the split-stator type. This unit looks like it can handle about 300 to 500 watts of power. I suspect that this tuner uses the "Ultimate Transmatch" circuit as designed by the late Lew McCoy, W1ICP, but I'm not sure of that.
